Visual Essay Examples

All of the following examples about Darfur are taken from YouTube.  I’ve given an analysis in relation to the expectations of the English 2 final exam after each video.  Please note that I have higher standards for you.  Many of these examples have misspellings and grammar mistakes.  No sources are cited.  There are no vocal narrations.

This video uses pathos beautifully, but offers no facts and establishes no credibility.  There is little suggestion about what a students can do to help.  But again, a beautiful example of strong pathos.

This video has both pathos and logos, but no ethos.  It does, however, give an example of one specific action that can be done by students to make a difference.

This one is interesting because it includes interviews with students.

Another interesting example.
